Hey yall!
My sweet Georgia bloggy buddies and I have teamed up to bring you a fun little hop/giveaway!
Let me start by telling you a bit about my city.
I'm in Augusta. As you can see from the map below, Augusta is a border town.
We're just a hop, skip, and a stone's throw away from South Carolina.
In fact, the neighboring town in South Carolina is called North Augusta and that is where my sweet hubby is from :)
Augusta is also home to the most prestigious golf tournament every year.
The Masters, anyone?
Every year in April, the world's greatest golfers {along with thousands of adoring fans and even some celebrities} swarm our city for a week. Our local school systems use that week as our Spring Break as well.
Most people use that week to rent out their house and get out of town.
I, however, love nothing more than sticking around to take part in all the fun :)
I've even worked at the tournament while in college {I actually waited on Phil Mickelson at the clubhouse!}.
Although growing up I always complained about how there is nothing to do around here, I honestly love this town and have no desire to move. The few years I spent in Atlanta really helped me to realize that Augusta is my home and always will be.
Okay, enough about this great city, on to the freebie!
My freebie is something I made for a coworker of mine who teaches kindergarten. She wanted some golf-themed centers to use with her kiddos before Masters week. Hope you can use them!

Thanks Kristin! Which party of Atlanta? We lived in Alpharetta/Johns Creek for a few years.
DeleteI am loving that you get to take part in the Masters festivities! I'm not really a golf fan, but I love a good reason to celebrate! Besides, meeting someone famous is always pretty exciting!

How neat that you waited on Phil! I would love to come to the Masters one day...my husband would too!
ReplyDeleteI have a teacher friend who would pack it all up and move to Augusta in a heartbeat! She is the golfing queen! I'm off to share this post (and awesome freebie) with her right now!

I am a a hop, skip, and a stone's throw away from South Carolina, also - just more north of you...and Lake Hartwell is our border :) We actually visit SC stores more than GA stores as we live right off the last exit on I85 from GA to SC! Nice to meet you through the hop.

Cute Freebie! Love hearing good stuff about Augusta. I spent time in the Burn Unit of the hospital there and spent a year riding back and forth between Macon and Augusta many many years ago! I would love to go back sometime and visit downtown. Great blog, by the way!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your freebie. You are way north of me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I am also from the Augusta area. I live between Harlem and Thomson and teach in Warren County. I have made this area home for the past 27 years and can't imagine packing up to move anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing freebie! I will definitely be printing and laminating this summer.
