Spooktacular Math!

Hey yall! Happy Sunday!

 

I finally finished up my Spooktacular Common Core Math Centers! Whoo! This has only been in the making for...oh...3 weeks now??? So glad I got them finished...and just in time, too!

 

 

 

My littles are going to be using these cute little math centers for the next week or so :)

 

Here's whats included:

 



 

*Candy Corn Counting: skip-counting by 5s

*Batty Numbers: ordering numbers from least to greatest

*Ghostly Addition: addition to 20

*Candy Matching: matching numbers to their written word

*Scaredy Cat Counting: counting pennies and dimes {separately}

*Skelly Subtraction: subtraction {less than 20}

*Pumpkin Picking: counting with tally marks & graphing

*10 More, 10 Less Spiders: 10 more & 10 less of a number

*Pumpkin Time: telling time to the hour



I found these bad boys at the Dollar Spot the other day, and they are perfect to use with the Skelly Subtraction and Ghostly Addition centers! Whoo-hoo! You can pick these up for $1.00 each at your local Target :)

 

 

 

I also found these at the Christmas Tree Shops the other day for $1.99! I'm going to let my kiddos use them to help them track their reading :)

Birthday Freebies

Hey yall!

 

I am loving that today is the first day of fall! Its *officially* my favorite time of the year :)

 

What have I been spending this splendid day doing, you ask?

 

Why, getting things ready for my new classroom, of course!

 

I printed out a ton of my Owls on Dots stuff-desk tags, alphabet, number posters, weather set, 'where are we?,' clock numbers, calendar buddies...{I still have to print out my word wall, schedule cards, welcome postcards, and Daily Five posters!}

 

 

 

But then I realized I never made anything for birthdays!

 

I had downloaded these adorable birthday charts from the lovely Randi, and had every intention of using these for my classroom.

But then I decided that I really wanted some colorful ones that matched my room! I loved her idea, so I just made some that kept with my colorful owls and polka dots theme. Thanks, Randi :)

Then I decided that I needed to make those birthday balloons that are all over Pinterest! You know, the ones like these?

 

 

 

So of course I had to make some that matched my theme!

Now, here's my problem. I cannot find those dang giant pixie stix anywhere! Any suggestions on where I might pick some up?

 

I have also been busy cutting and laminating Anna's First Grade Common Core and More Content Word Wall cards. I LOVE this set and it was well worth the money!

 

But whew...it takes a lot of time trying to get all the cards ready!

 

 

Do you see that giant stack??? That took me about 2 hours...and that's not even HALF of the cards! I still have about 60 more pages to print out...eeek!

 

I seriously have gone through a brand new color ink cartridge just today! No, really. I bought it last night and it ran out today. That's how much stuff I've been printing! It is totally worth it, though, because my room is going to look fab :)

 

Last thing before I head out for some dinner and to watch my dawgs beat Vandy....
