Atlanta Blogger Meet Up

Hey yall! TGIF, right???

It's been a LONG week....so long, that today is the first day I've had a second to sit down and tell you about my amazing trip last weekend!

I had the opportunity to attend the 2015 EDExpo in Atlanta as a teacher-blogger with some other bloggers (be sure to check back soon for more info about this!), and we had a fun meet up while we were there!

Since we're native to Georgia and we had to show a little Southern hospitality, a few other peaches and I worked together to throw a little shindig for our bloggy buddies.

What. a. NIGHT!

I was blown away when over 50 amazing teachers showed up!
We talked, gave away prizes, talked, ate, talked, drank, talked.
And then we taught all our Northern buddies how to say "yall" in their best accent :)

Here are a few ton of pictures from the meet up.
I bet you would recognize some of these gorgeous faces!

Here are some of the amazing prizes that we gave away!
A HUGE thank you to Blair from Blair Turner Paper, Kimberly from KG fonts, Krista from Creative Clips, Nikki from Melonheadz, Kaci from Mrs. Hoffer's Spot, Educents, and Peach State Pride.

EDExpo 2015...will YOU be there?

Hey yall!

Next weekend, I'll be attending the EDExpo in Atlanta, Georgia. I am super excited about attending this year! I was lucky enough to be one of about 50 bloggers invited to check out the event and pick out some must-have items for the classroom! There promises to be innovative products covering every facet of learning....from instructional materials, teaching aids, & technology products...to educational games, toys, and supplies! Sounds like a teacher's dream come true!

Check out who the keynote speaker is...Kim Beardan (cofounder of the Ron Clark Academy)!

So....will I see YOU there?

Hey yall! Happy Friday!

We've been studying FDR and World War II, so of course we had to learn about Rosie! We made our own Rosie posters...I love how unique they all turned out! The girls and I had fun dressing up as Rosie, too :)

Speaking of FDR, we also made these little flip books. I got these from Lacey over at The Fabulous Life of an Elementary Teacher and really LOVE them! They are aligned perfectly to our Social Studies standards here in Georgia and are great for review! You can find Lacey's store here.

I started a new intervention group during our Workshop time this week, so I busted out the finger lights. They have been packed away since I moved from 1st grade to 3rd, but they're out for good now! Third graders love them just as much as my firsties used to :)

I applied for the brand new doctorate program at a nearby university {am I COMPLETELY crazy?!?!?}, so I had to take the GRE. To say I was nervous would be a total understatement!
My sweet hubby always knows how to calm my fears :)
Oh, and in case you were wondering, I scored 14 points higher than I needed to!
I won't find out until April if I've made it in the program-they are only accepting 15 applicants, so its pretty competitive! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you've already seen about a bazillion pictures of our new puppy.
Meet Greta!
She is our 11 week old Chiweenie {half chihuahua, half daschund}.
She is the cutest thing I have ever seen, but such a mess!
We sure do love her to pieces, though :)

Enjoy your weekend, yall!
