Dr. Seuss Doors {Part 2}

Hey yall! What did you think of the doors yesterday? Weren't they awesome? I am back with lots more!

Let's just dig in, shall we?

First up tonight is fourth grade...we have 5 fourth grade classrooms at our school.

Ms. M: Oh, the Places You'll Go! {1}

Ms. M: Oh, the Places You'll Go! {2}

Ms. W: I Can Read with My Eyes Shut {1}

Ms. W: I Can Read with My Eyes Shut {2}

Ms. D: The Lorax

Ms. M: Various books (She was not happy with this door!)

Ms. O: Horton Hears a Who {1}

Ms. O: Horton Hears a Who {2}
How about that elephant up there? It looks great, but there was some rumbling about using up half the hallway for a door decorating content. But it does look amazing!

On to fifth grade. We have 5 fifth grade classrooms.

Ms. B: The Lorax

Ms W: There's a Wocket in My Pocket

Ms. A: Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Mr. K: Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Not sure what happened with that last one. He had another wall beside his door that I somehow didn't get a picture of.

Anyways, on to first! My favorite :) We have 3 first grade classrooms.

Ms. B: The Sneetches {1}

Ms. B: The Sneetches {2}
That is my BFF and teaching neighbor's door. She wasn't super thrilled about it, but I thought it looks great! Her fiance drew that killer sneetch!

Ms. J: Various books {1}
Ms. J: Various books {2}
That is my other teaching buddy's door. I love the kiddos...they are all looking down at their books! Super cute!

Okay, are you ready for it? I saved my door for last, because it's the best! Ha! Not really, but I have to try and sell myself, right?

Here goes!

Me: Wacky Wednesday {1}

Me: Wacky Wednesday {2}

Me: Wacky Wednesday {3}

Me: Wacky Wednesday {4}

Me: Wacky Wednesday {5}

Me: Wacky Wednesday {6}
Do you like? Do you like?

I know...it's kind of a hodge podge. But I really like it! Here is the story behind the door.

My room moms were going to do a "Cat in the Hat" door. I was going to be the cat, and all my littles were going to be my things...thing 1, thing 2, thing 3, etc. So we put some blue hair on the littles, I donned a hat and a cat nose, and we took our picture.

Then they decided to change it up a bit. They decided to add some "Wacky Wednesday" action in there. So my littles and I created our own Wacky Wednesday story. It was pretty hilarious, and included a panda (our school mascot) on the wall, grass growing under our chairs, eleven Devons (one of my littles), a bent flag, and an invisible principal! That's what all the wording is on the door, and the random ideas.

So there you have it! Hope you enjoyed all the pics! If you didn't get to see the ones from yesterday, click here to see that post.

One of my teamies students said to her today, "Ms. Blizard, you guys are getting a little crazy with all this Dr. Seuss stuff!" And he is soo right! I wish you could see our school right now...it is covered in all things Dr. Seuss! Tomorrow I will try and snap some random pictures around the school.

We have been doing gobs of fun stuff all week, but I am going to save it for one big post on Friday.

In the meantime, head on over to my TPT store for the HUGE leap day sale!!! Hurry...it's today only!

Happy shopping!!!

Oh, and please leave me some love. What was your favorite door out of all of them? I promise, I won't be upset if you don't say mine :)

Dr. Seuss Doors {Part 1}

Hey yall! Well, we had our Dr. Seuss door decorating contest today. Yall....seriously...these ladies did an ah-mazing job! I feel bad for the judges, because this would be super hard to judge.

Please prepare yourself for the awesomeness that is about to come your way. There are a ton of pictures coming your way....just a little fore warning :)

Let's start with kindergarten, shall we? We have four kindergarten classrooms.

Ms. H: If I Ran the Zoo

Ms. J: Horton Hears a Who

Ms. D: Cat in the Hat Comes Back {1}

Ms. D: Cat in the Hat Comes Back {2}

Ms. S: Cat in the Hat {1}

Ms. S: Cat in the Hat {2}

Told you.

We're going to skip over first grade, because of course, you have to save the best {i.e. my door} for last :)

Moving on to second grade-there are 3 second grade classrooms.

Ms. M: Horton Hatches an Egg {1}

Ms. M: Horton Hatches an Egg {2}

Ms. D: If I Ran the Zoo

Ms. H: Are You My Mother? {1}

Ms. H: Are You My Mother? {2}
Go ahead and pick your jaw up now...we aren't done yet. Ms. H from the door above just happens to be 9 months pregnant...like, her due date is tomorrow. Really. She is planning on working up until she goes into labor! Her room is right across the hall from mine, and we have already discussed the plan of action if that happens at school. We all keep trying to put her into labor...no luck yet!

Onto third grade-there are 3 third grade classrooms.

Ms. D: Oh, the Places You'll Go! {1}

Ms. S: My Book About Me {1}

Ms. S: My Book About Me {2}

Ms. D: And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street {1}

Ms. D: And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street {2}

Ms. D: And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street {3}
I know, right?!?!

Here are just a couple of other random doors, not from any specific grade level.

Ms. A {assistant principal}: Seuss-isms

Ms. S {ESOL coordinator}: Thing 1 and Thing 2 {Cat in the Hat}

Are you guys floored or what? There are still 3 grades left, but I am going to save those for tomorrow night...something to keep you coming back :)

Now, off to watch the season finale of Parenthood! Night!

Seussy and a Sale

Hey yall! Monday's here...but that's okay, because it is a pretty exciting week to be an elementary teacher!

I <3 Dr. Seuss week....like, <3 <3 <3 it. On top of celebrating one of the most amazing literary geniuses, we get to have so. much. fun.

Our week is slap full of all things Seuss.

Today, we completed activities from my On the Loose unit (ps if you bought this unit, please go back and download again...I fixed a wee little error): Cat with a Hat wordsearch, Dr. Seuss literacy centers {abc order, rhyming words, and grammar sort}, and read this amazing book

My littles loved hearing all about how this strange little boy grew up to become Dr. Seuss. It's a little lenthy, and some of the text might be over there heads, but they still get the overall message-follow your dreams.

Also, we are having a door decorating contest at our school...and it is getting serious! I mean, these ladies really brought out the big guns this year! I wanted to take pictures today, but some were not quite done yet. So I will be back tomorrow with all the amazing Dr. Seuss awesomeness.
Seriously....prepared to be floored.

I'm sure you all have heard about the giant Leap Day sale, and I am getting in on the fun! On top of the 10% off that TPT is giving you {just use the promo code L2P9Y at checkout} everything in my store is an additional 20% off! Say what?

Real quick before I go...don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, yes...you have my permission to pin :)

Ready or Not....It's Here!

Hey yall! Happy Sunday morning!

First of all, I just want to say thanks for all the sweet birthday wishes and comments! Yall really filled my bucket yesterday :) It was pretty low key....I actually spent most of the day cleaning! My hubby and I did do some shopping....more on that in a minute.

Look what I got for my bday

I am in love.

Okay, so are yall ready for Dr. Seuss week? I was chuckling on Friday because our hallways were filled with room moms and all things Dr. Seuss. Our school has a door decorating contest every year, and everyone is really bringing out the big guns this year! Last year, I came in 2nd place. I told the kindergarten teacher that won last year that I was coming for her this year :) I promise I will post pictures of all the different doors after the contest is over.

I felt like I was not 100% prepared for the week, so I did what any good teacher would do....shop! I had gotten a School Box gift card from my class for my bday, so I dragged the hubby with me after dinner last night.
 I racked up, yall!
Look at all these goodies I got...
Dr. Seuss pencils
Dr. Seuss stickers
Dr. Seuss posters
Not Dr. Seuss related....but super cute none the less! These are  perfect for my owl-themed classroom, and I can finally get a job board up!
I also bought some cute flowery border for spring, and some adorable blue chicks.

Speaking of spring, I bought the cutest spring clipart yesterday, which inspired me to get started on some spring-themed centers! Here is a little sneak peek of what I started working on yesterday...

I know, I know...it's a little early for these. I mean, we haven't even made it through Dr. Seuss week or St. Patrick's Day! But....I couldn't resist :)

So I will spend the rest of the afternoon working on these, and cutting out the rest of my On the Loose with Dr. You-Know-Who centers.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Hopefully, we won't get the Sunday night blues tonight, since it's an exciting week to be a teacher!

Don't forget to enter my birthday/100 followers giveaway! It closes at midnight on Thursday, March 1.

Click on the picture to see the entry rules.

Think I'll go have another cup of coffee...... :)
