Getting in the Spirit

Hey yall!

I cannot believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! I'm so ready for some turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing.....mmmmmmm.

Right now I am in Ft. Knox, KY visiting with my sister and family. My brother and family will be coming in tonight, too! Still missing a couple of siblings (plus a hubby, who's stuck in GA), but happy to be with family for Thanksgiving!

We have had the whole week off..PTL!..and I have been ultra productive! I know I shouldn't be working on my time off, but we both knew that was going to happen now didn't we?

I've got two new Christmas units up for sale, with two more in the works!

Holly Jolly Math Centers {Common Core aligned}

This unit includes:

*Double Trouble: doubles facts to 20
*Frosty Time: time to the hour and time to the half hour (2 separate centers)
*Ten Frame Gifts: matching ten frames to their corresponding number
*Christmas Stories: addition & subtraction number stories
*Christmas Character Memory Match: matching numbers to their written words

Granny Swallows Christmas

This unit accompanies the book "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell" by Lucille Colandro. It includes:

*Story Sequencing: pocket chart activity OR cut and paste sheets
*ABC Order: pocket chart activity OR individual recording sheets
*Rhyming Words Match: pocket chart activity OR individual recording sheets
*Writing Prompts: 4 different prompts to choose from {depending on your students' abilities}
*Old Lady Word Search: center work OR individual sheets
*Long Vowel Lady: color by vowel individual sheets

You can find both of these units in my TPT store now. However, I am participating in the B-I-G cyber Monday {plus Tuesday!} sale over at TPT, so these units will be 28% off then!

I've got a couple more units in the works, so I will *hopefully* have those ready by Monday, too!

Also, Chrissy from Buzzing with Ms. B is having a blogiversay giveaway! She is celebrating her one year blogiversary and is having an awesome giveaway. Go check her out and enter to win a $10 shopping spree in my store!

Daily 5 freebie and Currently!

Hey yall! Happy Monday!

Seriously, Mondays have become my favorite day of the week this summer.

Mainly because I look forward to Manic Monday freebies and to Tara's awesome Monday Made It linky party! It really gets my creative juices going :)

BUT.....I haven't done any crafting this week :(

*tear

I blame it ALL on graduate school....it gets in the way of everything! But I know it will be worth it in the end...

Actually, I have really learned a great deal in the last month, and I have sooo much I want to share with you guys. In due time...

Okay, so I am linking up with Classroom Freebies for their Manic Monday!

This week, I am offering my Daily Five posters! These coordinate perfectly with my Owls and Dots Classroom Theme Set :)
Click on the picture to get your copy!

And now for July Currently!

*sidenote: Can you believe it is JULY already?!?! Where is my summer going???*

The deal with reads: #1 is my all time favorite book to read aloud and #2 is my go-to professional book.

I love, love, love Skippyjon Jones! In fact, look at what I picked up tonight at Kohls

Photo: My very own Skippyjon Jones!
My very own Skippyjon Jones!

Seriously, though, my students love this little guy. And I do too! I mean, who wouldn't?

Professional book? Well, I am trying to implement the Daily 5 in my classroom next year (if I ever get another job!!!), so this has been my reading material over the summer. So far, I'm loving it!

Go link up with Farley :)

Lastly, have you heard about Mrs. Stanford's awesome giveaway? Umm...honestly this one is too big to miss! Annnnnnnddddd....you can win something from me :)

Admission is the first step...

Hey yall! Happy hump day!

I have something to admit to you guys.

I think I may have a problem...

Seriously? Did I go way a little overboard?

This is my haul from today. An old friend from college and I met up for lunch, and then went shopping! She said she needed to get some storage containers for her room, so I knew just where to go...Dollar Tree!

I am loving all the bright colors this year, and they match my new classroom theme PERFECTLY!!!
The only thing I'm missing is orange....

Why did I take this picture outside, you ask?

It most definitely may be because the hubs doesn't know that I purchased all this, and it went immediately back in my trunk before he could see it....

You gotta get what you can get, right?

Ok, so remember when I posted this the other night?

Well, I had a couple of requests for a sign without the owl for those that have other classroom themes. I most definitely think you should just change your theme to match the sign, but alas...I guess not everybody is into owls :)

So, if you click on the picture above, I have added a blank sign, as well as one with a cute little sun on it.

Don't forget to enter my 300 follower giveaway!!!

Summer, Summer, Summer Time.....a Giveaway!

Hey friends! It is officially summer time (for me anyhow)!

Congrats to all you wonderful teachers out there that have made it through another year. I'm not sure about you, but I feel like it really flew by!

Life is hectic. Super hectic.

Yesterday, I finished packing up my classroom. You don't realize how much stuff you have, until it is all packed in boxes. Well, *14* boxes and 3 big storage containers later, my room was packed :)

Now, I am turning my focus on the house. We pick up the UHaul tomorrow, and will be in Augusta by Thursday afternoon. Weeee!

Since I'm so busy right now, I have no time for blogstalking :(

So to make up for it, I decided to have a giveaway....yay!

One lucky winner will receive a $25 giftcard to Barnes & Noble! This is perfect to pick up some books to read while lounging on the beach :) My recommendation? 50 Shades series :) Do some research before reading, though...or else you may be in for a shock!

Here's how to enter my giveaway:
1. Follow me and leave a comment with your email address. Required.
2. "Like" me on Facebook and leave a comment with your email address. Required.
3. Share this giveaway and leave a comment with your email address and the link to your post. Optional.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)

Happy Summer, friends!!!

A Very Thirty One Giveaway!!!

Hey yall! I am soooo excited to write this post, because you guys are in for a treat!

When Denise contacted me about hosting a giveaway, I jumped at the chance! Denise is both a teacher and a Thirty One consultant, and she is offering one lucky follower an Organizing Utility Tote!

This is the one that I got...isn't it cute??? I absolutely LOVE it! I can't wait to put it to use :)

I am pretty certain that you all know about Thirty One, but in case you've been living under a rock, let me tell you a little bit more about the company. Thirty One is a faith based company that was started by ONE woman who sewed bags in her basement in Chattanooga. The company now has over 60,000 consultants nationwide! If that's not inspiring, I don't know what is :)

I own a couple of Thirty One products that I use ALL the time, and I absolutely LOVE them!

This little bag was my first piece of Thirty One that I got last year as a Secret Santa gift. It has my initial on it, and I use it when I travel to hold all my toileties.

This is my lunchbox that I bought last year, and it is my favorite!!! Not only is it adorable, but it is also huge! I always had issues with my old lunchboxes, trying to fit everything in. Not with this one! I use this daily :)

Now, don't you want your own Thirty One bag?

Here is how you enter (you MUST do the first 3, the 4th is optional):

1. "Like" me on Facebook.
2. Follow my blog.
3. Go to Denise's website and check out the new catalog. Then email Denise with your favorite Thirty One product.
4. Share this giveaway on your blog or Facebook page (optional entry).

That's it! Use the Rafflecopter below to enter.

This giveaway will begin today and will end at 12:01 EST on Sunday, May 6th.

How do you say "Ouch" in Japanese?

Hey yall! Still livin' it up over here in Okinawa!

My sis and I have been nonstop this week, and today was no different.

We went ziplining!

It. was. awesome.

But sooo tiring! I am pretty certain that I am going to wake up with some seriously sore body parts tomorrow...but it was definitely worth it!

The only problem I had today? I just could not seem to get the landing down.

I zipped, screaming the whole way, thinking I was heading straight for the landing.

Then....I would start to twist. I would kick my legs to try and get myself straight again, but alas....I could not.

So instead of landing on my feet, like my sis did every time, I landed on my butt.

That's where the "ouch" part comes in.

But it was still a lot of fun, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I got some awesome pictures and videos of my wipeouts, but I don't have my camera cord or adapter. So you will just have to wait until I get back home....but trust me, it will totally be worth the wait.

Have you guys been enjoying the guest bloggers? Aren't they awesome??? I don't know what I would do without them, because they are completely taking care of the "teachery"...but I got the "tidbits" part on lock this week :)

Be sure to check back tomorrow for Mary Beth from Run Teacher, Run!

Oh, and please go here and enter my giveaway. I mean, only like 5 people have entered. Seriously, people? I'm starting to think you guys have something against Japan....

So, if you want to save face and get back in my good graces, please go enter :) You've only got one more day.

Last thing....tomorrow is the last day of my sale, so stop by one of my shops and pick up some spring goodies!

This one seems to be popular right now...

...and this one...

...or you could get this one...

...and this one.
