Fall on the Brain

Hey yall!

Are you guys having a rockin' Friday night in like I am???

The hubs is at work, so I've dedicated this night to craft night!

And boy, have I been crafty!

I got the bug the other day to start decorating for my favorite season. I think I thought that if I made it super fallish around here, then the actual season would hurry up! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous lately, so at least there's that :)

In my quest for all things fall, I turned to pinterest for some 'pin'spiration. I mean, where else???

Here are some things I have made tonight:

1. New fall wreath! I had so much fun making this thing....and I only managed to burn myself once in the process. Thinking I might actually go back and add a few more rosettes, though...

2. Fall decor! Got everything to make this from the Dollar Tree....score! Cute and cheap....my kind of decor :)

3. Fall subway art! Okay, I didn't actually make this one...I downloaded it from here. But I did buy the frame!

Subway art from Antsi-Pants

4. Fall cupcakes! Pumpkin, to be exact. My favorite thing about fall is pumpkin EVERYTHING! These are not just for me, though, they are for the ladies that will be at the Carolina Meetup tomorrow!

5. Fall Fun Math Centers! I couldn't stop with the fall creations, so I went right ahead and made these super cute math centers! This packet includes addition to 20, counting by 5s, ordering numbers from least to greatest, matching numbers with their written words, and telling time to the hour AND to the half hour.

You can pick this unit up in my TPT store here

I'm totally stoked about the Carolina Meetup tomorrow! Technically, its today since its already past midnight here. I promise to post pics next week!

We Heart Grandparents! with a freebie!

Hey yall!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words yesterday :)
It means so much to me that many of you are thinking about me and praying for me!

Soooo....what do you guys have planned for Grandparents Day? In case you didn't know, National Grandparents Day is this Sunday, September 9th. The school I was at last year always invites the students' grandparents to come in for a lunch on that day, and it is always such a hit!

But other than that, we never really did much to celebrate them in the classroom...
So that got me thinking, and before I knew it, I was whipping up a quick little packet to help celebrate those beloved geriatrics!

Now, I know that this is really last minute...but I'm a last minute type of gal :)
So if any of you are needing some super quick activities, look no further than my We Heart Grandparents! Puzzles and Activities pack!

This little mini pack has 5 fun activities that are PERFECT for morning work or for those students that finish all their work extra early!

This pack includes:

1. Word Search with answer sheet
2. Venn Diagram for grandma vs. grandpa

Meet the Teacher!

Hey yall!

First of all, I just want to say happy first day to some of you that started a brand new year today! I hope yall have a stupendous year!!!

Tonight I am linking up with TBA for their Open House week!

Open House Week

Today is technically classroom photos, but since I don't currently have a classroom, I thought I would catch up on what was Monday....Meet the Teacher!

So, a little more about Mrs. Lemacks :)

1. I'm 27 years old and married to my soulmate. We have been together for 8 and a half years, married for 4. The hubs is my best friend and I would be lost without him. He is my confidant, my companion, my foundation, my rock. Seriously, I love this man with my whole being.

2. I do not have any children...yet. We're working on it :) We do, however, have 2 sweet furbabies that we treat like our children. They are completely spoiled!

3. I love, love, love going to concerts and shows! Our all time favorite band is Widespread Panic. I have been to see them about 13 times in the last 10 years. And no...I'm NOT a hippie, I just like hippie music :) I have also been to see Allman Brothers, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, Avett Brothers, Coldplay, Black Keys, Zach Brown Band, Moe, and many more!

4. I love decorating my house! If I wasn't a teacher, I would hands down be an interior designer. I just love watching a room come together!

5. I am the youngest of 5. I have two older brothers and two older sisters. My parents just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary! I have 6 nephew and nieces and I love them all like my own! My family is the most important thing to me!

6. I love to laugh! That's what I love most about the hubs...he makes me laugh every single day! I would choose to watch funny movies and TV shows over any other genre.

7. Over the past few years, I have spent a year in PreK as an assistant teacher and 2 years teaching first grade. I have to say that first grade definitely has my heart! The hubs and I recently moved back to our hometown and I had to give up my job. Although I have been actively searching for months now, I have not been able to find a new school :(

8. However, I have decided to take this opportunity to make creating units for TPT my fulltime job! I will be dedicating all my time and effort into making this my job. I am working on drafting a business plan and setting goals for myself. I am just so inspired by the success stories that I read each week in the newsletters, and think "Why not me?" I figured I should use this time constructively :) You know what they say about life and lemons!

9. I am an army brat. My father spent 30 years in the army, but retired in 2000 as a Colonel. I have lived in many different places-though not nearly as many as my older siblings! When I was in kindergarten, I went to a school in Belgium and spoke Flemish pretty well. Of course, I can't remember a lick of it today :) I am so proud of my daddy for serving this great country!

Mike as a Lieutenant in Germany

10. I LOVE to read! I am dying to get a Kindle, but that's just gonna have to wait :( My favorite author currently is probably Emily Griffin. I like to keep my reading light hearted :)

Whew! It's hard work talking about yourself :)

Night, friends!

September Currently and a freebie!

Hey yall! Happy Labor Day!

I hope everyone is currently enjoying their holiday :)

No big plans for me...I'm actually quite bored! Hopefully I will get out of the house this evening...

September! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone???

I'm totally okay with it, though, because it is almost my favorite time of the year! Fall is so close I can smell it :)

Here's my Currently...

Have you seen The Heartbreak Kid? It is such a funny movie! But my most favorite movie of all time was on first...I Love You, Man! Best. Movie. Ever.

College football! Love me some Georgia football :)

I have had my eyes on these babies for quite awhile now...love the half braided look!

We all know my job woes, so I won't get into that again...on to my faves!

1. The hubs and I have been obsessed with sweet potato fries lately. Our favorites? Ore Ida!

Mmmmm....so good!

2. Pool days! I have been trying to take advantage of this time off, so I have been hitting up the pool with some of my non-teacher friends! There are some perks of being unemployed :)

3. I have been OBSESSED with Chevron lately! It is everywhere, and I love it all! I just can't help myself from creating with my favorite stripe either! Which brings me to my Manic Monday freebie...

It's a welcome sign for your classroom!

Click on the picture to download!

This sign will print out perfectly on 8.5 x 11 paper. Purchase a cheap document frame from either Dollar Tree or Wal-mart and you've got yourself a cute little sign for the classroom.

S-A-L-E!!!

Hey yall!

Today is an exciting day!

First, I have an interview today. No...it's not for a teaching position. The time has pretty much passed for that, and although I had some very promising interviews, I wasn't able to find my new school home :(

So I'm pursuing other opportunities, ones that still allow me to work with children. I'll let you know how this goes today :)

Second, it's time for some GEORGIA FOOTBALL!!! Whoo-hoo!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! All summer long I look forward to that first game day, where I can hoot and holler and scream GO DAWGS!!!

Third, it's Labor Day weekend! Not that it means so much to me, since every weekend is like a 3 day weekend for the unemployed...but all my buddies are off, so it's extra play time!

So in honor of all this excitement, I am throwing a little sale in my TPT shop!

Everything is my shop is 15% from now until Monday!

Click on the picture to get to shopping!

While your there, be sure to pick up my newest item...Chevron Schedule Cards!

Happy game day, friends!!!
