Berries and Funnies

Hey yall! It's late, and I'm tired, so this is going to be quick.

Need a little lovin'? If so, then you NEED to make this little craftivity...
The 'berry' best thing about first grade...is my teacher Mrs. Lemacks because shes really nice to the whole class.

The 'berry' best thing about first grade...is my teacher and my friends. I also like our unit on guppies, snails, centipedes, also roly polies! Really alive!

The 'berry' best thing about first grade...is I have the best teacher and I like science and the animals.

The 'berry' best thing about first grade...is meeting new girls and boys. ELA is cool. I like science. The first grade teachers.

These cute little berries will most definitely fill your bucket...at least they did mine! Almost all of my little sweeties wrote something about having the best teacher :) :) :)

It never fails to amaze me how much impact teachers have in their students' lives. Even though I sometimes feel like a big, bad monster, and wonder how they can think I'm so great when I have to constantly get on to them...they still love me!

BTW these berries also make an adorable door :)

Now for some funnies before I go :)

Today, we were reading a chapter of Junie B. Jones that involved her getting into a pretty nasty fight with meanie Jim. My littles had really been kind of at each other's throats lately, so I took this opportunity to discuss the way we should treat each other.

This evolved into a discussion about fighting...which of course led my littles into telling me all about their parents fights!

"My mom and dad fight alll the time! But then they laugh at each other."
"My mom and dad always fight about money....especially at Christmas time!"
"My mom and dad got into a fight the other night. Then my mom broke a plate."

I love nothing more than getting a chance to just sit and talk with my littles....they always keep me laughing!

Don't forget to enter my Very Thirty One giveaway!!!

Happy TGIalmostF!!!

  2. Sometimes after I have gotten really upset and yelled at a kid about something (like if I see a kid hitting another kid or ripping pages out of a book or something equally ridiculous), I am amazed how, 2 seconds later, the culprit is playing with my hair and drawing pictures for me. I love kids. :)
