In Case of Emergency...

Hey yall! Happy hump day!

I {heart} Wednesdays.

1. It's the middle of the week and you know the weekend is just around the corner.

2. Our students have early release on Wednesdays and get out at 1:20 so the teachers can have professional development. Yes, every Wednesday. We're a charter school, so we can do things like that. We make up the extra time throughout the rest of the week, though, so our kiddos are getting just as much time as they should.

3. I get to teach health!

Do yall love teaching health as much as I do???

The topics are so relevant to my kiddos and we always get to do a fun activity with our health lesson.

Take today's lesson....what to do in the case of an emergency.

We started by discussing what an emergency is. My littles had lots to say about that! They know way too much for their age...

Then we role played what to do in emergency situations. Oh, the dramatics!!!

Then we wrote about different emergencies and what we would do in those situations....call 911!

When I was first planning this lesson, I thought it would be fun to do a little phone craft to go along with our writing. I was going to just make my own, but then I stumbled across Ms. Leslie Ann's phone craft...perfect! Why reinvent the wheel, right?

How adorable are these???

An emergency is when a fire burns your house. In case of emergency, I would call 911.

An emergency is when a stranger tries to steal your kids. In case of emergency, I would say no to him and call the police.

An emergency is if the house is on fire. I would call 911. If the stranger told me to come to his house, I would call 911. If he steal out my house, I would call 911.
An emergency is when someone steals your child or baby. In case of emergency, I would call 911.

On another note, has anybody else's kids been 9 kinds of crazy??? Spring fever must be setting in...but we still have 3 full weeks before Spring Break!

Not that I'm counting down the days or anything...
